Lot consists of: (A) E.P. Bond marked percussion lock Pattern 1853 musket. British proofed barrel with 25 marking. Rifled barrel notched for bayonet (missing lug). Adjustable rear sight with fixed front. Steel ramrod. Type of rifle that saw service in the Civil War on both sides. CONDITION: Well used condition with dark patina on metal surfaces. Heavy usage marks on wood with added coat of finish. Dark bore with good mechanics. (B) Rifled Pattern 1853 Enfield with Tower marked percussion lock also marked by the English contractor Barnett in London. Adjustable rear sight with fixed front. Walnut stock with iron hardware and steel ramrod. CONDITION: Overall fair with dark patina surface. Wood has been cleaned with oil soaked appearance. Crack through rear lock bolt. Dark bore with good mechanics. DLM
