"First Coup" by Peter Fillerup (1953-2016), an American sculptor. 1989 #2/21. Base measures 16" x 21". Spear measures 54-1/2". Height 36-1/2". Born in Cody, Wyoming, Fillerup grew up in the Wyoming Rockies where he developed a love for all things western. He received his training under Avard Fairbanks, one of America's foremost sculptors. During his career he was involved in many notable projects. His sculpture "Bill-Cody Hard and Fast All The Way" (2020) stands outside the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. This is an exquisite piece and would be an impressive addition to any western themed residence. CONDITION: Excellent. CG
