Hand forged single spring beaver trap stamped Bollard. Made by Etienne Bollard, Chief Blacksmith for British Indian Department at Detroit, 1778-1780's. Used when beaver was at its prime during the 1770' to the 1780's. This trap was bought from the Museum of the Fur Trade. CONDITION: Trap shows great patina and shows how it was originally hand forged. Missing the chain but still has the swivel. REW
