Made in Frankfurt, Germany by Wm. Collath, this pre-World War II underlever shotgun has features typical to only Collath guns (winged safety, horn underlever, and forearm mechanism). Line engraved rounded case hardened receiver with double triggers and horn trigger guard. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with horn cap and buttplate. Checkered wood splinter forearm with typical Collath release. Blue steel barrels marked "Wittener" on right barrel and "Excelsior" on the left with matted rib and bead front sight. Gun has sling swivels. CONDITION: 80% barrel blue with bright bores. 20% case in protected areas with wood having light handling marks with 10% original hand rubbed finish left. Fine crack in checkering of the pistol grip on the right side just above lower tang screw. DLM
