Philadelphia native, Michelle A. Berkowitz, studied art and design drawing, painting, three dimensional design, and large installations at Drexel University. She received a BS in Interior Design in 1989. Continuing in the design field, Berkowitz became a professional member of ASID and NCIDQ. In 2010, the James A. Michener Museum had an exhibition of her work. Berkowitz has returned to her roots in painting. Her preferred medium is acrylic and she specializes in industrial landscapes still life subjects.
