George Clowes Everett was an early member of the artist colony on Monhegan Island, Maine, a popular art colony and tourist destination. This painting depicts a fiery sunset over Gloucester harbor in Massachusetts. In gilt and gesso wood frame inside a red velvet lined display box. Some wear to edges and corners of painting. Gilt and gesso frame with cracks. Not examined outside of display frame.
