A copy of a print engraved by William Henry Simmons (1811 - 1882) after an original 1831 painting by Charles de Steuben (1788-1856). Battle scene with Napoleon at the center of his troops with a Scottish prisoner at left and several French soldiers in various degrees of distress. Fully developed and finely painted battle scene with Napoleon, calm and unharmed as the central figure. Overvarnished with craquelure throughout.
