Manufactured by DWM in 1916. The receiver is marked "1916" over the chamber with DWM proofs and the German Reichsadler on the right side. Toggle bears the DWM monogram with a Reichsadler on the left side of the breechblock. Reichsadler is present on barrel, but is soft. Matching numbers include the frame, locking bolt, trigger, hold open latch, safety bar, receiver, barrel, trigger bar, breechblock, firing pin, toggles, and checkered walnut grips. Trigger sideplate appears to be a replacement, as the wear and patina do not match that of the rest of the gun. Receiver axle appears to have been replaced or modified, as there is no rim on either side. Under the left grip near the magazine well, there is "N7849" lightly engraved on the frame. Complete with a WWII production leather holster marked "bml/41" (Hans Romer) and "P.08" with a waffenamt below, and a WWII production "fxo" magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain fair amounts of their arsenal applied blue finish, with high edge wear and thinning as well as light corrosion being exhibited all around. Bore is pitted and retains fair rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips show scattered dings and indentations with a sizeable area of loss to the checkering and a small chip near the safety catch on the left grip panel. Holster exhibits age cracking and wear all around, with the strap being torn. MLW
