Lot consists of: (A) French MAS 1949-56 semi-automatic rifle. "G" series made between 1958 and 1960, before being imported in the 1990's by Century Arms. Import marked on the left side of the receiver. All matching but the bolt, which is from the "H" serial block. Magazine and stock set are not numbered. Rifle has been arsenal refinished at some point. Standard round barrel with attached grenade launcher and grenade launching sight. Front post sight with an adjustable rear. Parkerized finish and oil finished wood stock set. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its finish with mild handling marks. Stock is very good with a few minor handling marks. Bore has some light frosting, but retains good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Egyptian FN-49 semi-automatic rifle. Made in Belgium for Egypt. Rifle retains its original Egyptian crest on the receiver. Import marked on the right side of the barrel. Front sight post has been replaced with a commercial blade. Standard rear tangent with Arabic numerals. Rifle has been refinished with a heavy paint like finish. Receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope. Hardwood stock has also been refinished, shortened and a rubber butt pad added. No magazine. Includes generic leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its finish with minor wear and handling marks. Stock is excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is heavily frosted with fair rifling. Mechanically fine. Sling is fair, with deterioration. JWA
