Lot consists of a Syrian Contract M48B carbine and a Carl Gustaf M96 Swedish Mauser. (A) M48B carbine manufactured by Yugoslavia under contract for Syria. Import stamp on right side of barrel reads "C.A.I. ALB. VT./ K98 YUGO 8mm". Matching numbers include the receiver, bolt, floorplate, and the stock. Cleaning rod is not present. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their arsenal applied blue finish, with the balance turning a grey patina. Very nice and bright bore, with strong rifling throughout. Stock shows many scattered nicks and indentations all around. (B) M96 Swedish Mauser manufactured by Carl Gustaf in 1919. The right side of the barrel is import marked "C.A.I. ST. A VT./ M96 CAL. 6.5x55 SWEDEN" Matching numbers include the receiver, bolt, rear sight, barrel bands, floorplate, and buttplate. Complete with non-matching cleaning rod. Metal components retain a good amount of their arsenal applied blue finish, with the majority of wear being present on the barrel, which has mostly turned a grey patina. Very nice and bright bore, with strong rifling throughout. Stock shows small nicks and indentations all around. MLW
