Lot consists of: (A) Remington Model 8 semi-automatic rifle. Made in 1930. Traditional leaf sight and standard front post. Original blued finish and oil stained stock set with a semi-cupped buttplate. Magazine is missing its follower. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with mild wear and areas of patina. Stock is near excellent with a few minor scratches. Crisp rifling in the bore. Mechanically fine, accept for lacking the magazine follower. (B) Savage Model 99 lever action rifle. Made in 1949. Steel round barrel, with a flip up rear sight and ramped front sight. Original blued finish. Standard wood stock with metal buttplate. Nice checkering on the forearm and the wrist of the stock. Drilled for a rear tang sight. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Stock is very good with minor handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
