Lot consists of a Chinese Type 56 Paratrooper and two K98 rifles. (A) Type 56 Paratrooper manufactured by Arsenal 26 in China. CJA import stamp on left side of receiver. 16" barrel with shortened spike bayonet. Matching numbers include the receiver, receiver cover, bolt carrier, bolt, magazine housing, and trigger guard. Butt trap cleaning kit is present. Cleaning rod is not present. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their arsenal applied blue finish, but show areas of rust and corrosion all around. Chrome lined bore is bright, and retains good rifling throughout. Stock is good, showing scattered dings and handling marks. (B) Israeli 7.62 NATO conversion K98 manufactured by Brno in 1945. Navy Arms import stamp on bottom of barrel. Receiver and barrel bands are a forced match. Receiver is marked "7.62/ Mod.98/ swp45" with various Israeli proofs over the chamber. Winter type trigger guard and forward barrel band are stamped, with the rear band being milled. Cleaning rod is not present. Complete with leather sling. CONDITION: Metal components show wear to their finish all around with some areas of light rust and corrosion. Bore is dark, but retains good rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered dings and handling marks, as well as a repair at the toe. (C) K98 manufactured by Mauser in 1944. Receiver is marked "byf/ 44" below the applied scope mounts. No matching numbers. Forward barrel band and trigger guard are milled, with the rear band being stamped. Late war stock with bolt takedown hole in the buttplate. Complete with a leather sling and Weaver 3-9x40mm scope. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, with scattered areas of wear. Buttplate shows surface rust and corrosion. Bore is bright, and retains strong rifling throughout. Stock shows some scattered dings handling marks. MLW
