(A) The Japanese Infantry Officers Visor is made of red wool and ribbed cotton. The caps exterior shows signs of minor wear. Some moth tracking is observed along the bottom of the visor as well as a few moth nips to the red band. The visor is black lacquered and exhibits some minor crackling from age. The leather chinstrap is intact and exhibits the same age as the cap. The interior of the cap is lined with a fine brown silk. Two embroidered kanji symbols are located in the center of the caps interior. The sweatband shows some wear to the bottom edge, but is void of any damage. CONDITION: Overall Very Good to Excellent. (B) The Japanese Naval Reserve Officer's Cap is made of wool and ribbed cotton. The exterior of the fabric shows little wear throughout. The caps insignia is made of gold bullion and brass, and features a nautical star above the anchor. The black lacquering of the chinstrap is roughly 50% intact. The black lacquered visor shows signs of heat bubbling, with a few small chips to the front of the visor section. The interior of the cap is made of black rayon, and features a hand sewn initial's tag. The cap's lining which has become partially detached from the cap. The black sweatband is cracking and has damage to the rear of the cap. CONDITION: Overall Very Good. (C) The Japanese Naval NCO Visor is made of wool, which shows no visible signs of damage. Some lint has accumulated on the cap, which could easily be removed with a lint roller. The insignia is made of stamped gilded aluminum, and features a silver Mum over the anchor. The black leather chinstrap appears in unused condition with no visible damage. The cap's visor has some light freckling on the top section. The cap's interior lining is made of a ribbed cotton with no visible damage other than what appears to be a removed manufacturers label. The original packing paper is still neatly tucked in the folds to help keep the caps original shape. The black sweatband is in unissued condition with no visible damage. CONDITION: Overall Near Mint. (D) The Japanese Imperial Parade Kepi is made of red and black wool, and Russian braid piping. The exterior of the cap shows signs of light wear and aging with natural patina throughout. The Russian braid piping has become detached in a few areas from dry rotted stitching. The original leather chinstrap is missing, as is one of the chinstraps attachment braids. The visor of the kepi shows a light crack down the middle and some minor flaking of the lacquering near the brim. The interior of the cap is made of a green cotton lining which is intact, showing no visible signs of damage. The black sweatband is intact with no visible damage, but has become dry with age. CONDITION: Overall Very Good to Excellent. D.W.
