(A) The Japanese Army Field Cap is made of a course cotton material which shows moderate field use throughout. Three vent holes are seen on each side of the cap, made of simple reinforcing stitching. On the cap's left wear side the soldier personalized this cap with kanji symbols using simple thread stitching. The rear adjustment string is missing from the cap. The brown leather chinstrap is intact, pliable, and held securely to the cap by two simple brass braids. The interior of the cap is lined with a simple woven cotton fabric and exhibits natural moderate field wear. The leather sweatband is intact with a few tears to the leather and dryness from age. CONDITION: Excellent. (B) The Japanese Landing Forces Naval Field Cap is made of a green cotton twill with an embroidered golden anchor emblem sewn to the front of the cap. A simple cotton twill chinstrap is sewn securely, and originally, to each side of the cap. The exterior of the cap appears to be unissued and is void of any damage. The interior of the cap has no additional lining added. The manufacturers ink stamp is nicely marked in the center of the cap's interior. CONDITION: Near Mint. (C) The Japanese Naval Field Cap is made of a green cotton twill showing signs of moderate wear and some freckling throughout. A metal naval insignia and Mum are attached to the front of the cap. A simple cotton twill chinstrap is attached to the cap with simple stitching. The visor and cotton chinstrap both have series of holes running their length. The interior of the cap has no additional lining, and a manufacturers ink stamp can be seen in the center. CONDITION: Very Good. D.W.
