1894 vintage Model 1886 Winchester rifle, serial number 83628. Full octagon barrel measures 23 - 1/2" with a full length magazine tube. Chambered in .38-56 W.C.F. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, forearm cap, hammer, and buttplate. CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal is a mixture of blue/grey patina with areas of cold blue. Forearm is excellent showing modest wear, stock has been sanded with several areas of wood missing around the frame, and tangs. Bore is turning dark with good rifling. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
