Rifle stamped "AP HYATT" on round rifled barrel with blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. A.P. Hyatt worked in Crystal Lake, Wisconsin circa 1857. Barrel threaded for false muzzle. J.W. Aston percussion lock with single set trigger control. Walnut checkered half stock with iron furniture. German silver saddle plate with pewter nose cap. Tang has silver inlay with hole for pedestal sight. Original hardwood rod. CONDITION: Metal turning plum with light pitting. Wood has scratches and dings from use with traces of original varnish. Shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
