Winchester Model 1910 semi-automatic magazine fed rifle which is the largest of the semi-automatic rifles designed by T.C. Johnson of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, New Haven, Connecticut. This particular gun is serial number "12" and made in 1910. Gun has blued "Nickel Steel" barrel with integral sight base with dovetail bead blade front sight and factory "22" series rear sight. Barrel is marked on left side with Winchester address and patents with caliber and barrel steel markings. Winchester proof on top of barrel and frame. Blued frame with push button safety and takedown feature with serial number "12" on frame and trigger group. Detachable magazine marked ".401 CAL.". Walnut plain half pistol grip stock with Winchester logo black bakelite buttplate. Walnut plain forearm with blued nosecap and op rod. CONDITION: 50% remaining original blue finish with balance turning a silvery patina. Small repaired hole in top of action from an added sight. Wood has dry appearance with repaired cracked forearm and repaired crack at tang on buttstock. Several other small hairline cracks around rear of action. Stock has various marks and dings from usage. Good bore with sharp rifling and good mechanics. DLM
