1882 Vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver with acid etched panel "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER", serial number 79168. 7 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .44-40 WCF. Blue with case hardened frame and hammer. 1 piece varnished walnut grips. Matching serial number 79168 located on barrel under ejector housing, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. CONDITION: Very fine overall showing a smooth grey/brown patina. Very legible etch panel on left side of barrel. Traces of original blue on trigger guard, backstrap, and heavy original blue under the ejector housing. Nice, unmolested original screws. Bore is fine with moderate abrasion and strong rifling. Action is tight and crisp. Grips are excellent showing modest wear and 10-15% original varnish. Overall a very honest, clean, and desirable "Colt Frontier Six Shooter" -MKS-
