Colt US Army 1911A1 semi-automatic pistol. Made 1941. Right side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". Squared "RS" inspectors stamp on the left side of the frame. Typical Colt patent dates on the left side of the slide. Standard blade front sight and u-notch rear sight. Parkerized finish on the frame and slide. Keyes fiber grips. Magazine is blued, marked "COLT/.45 AUTO" on the bottom. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with mild areas of wear and patina. The right side of the slide has a good amount of patina, most likely from being kept in a holster. Grips are excellent with light wear. Bore is lightly frosted with fair rifling left. Mechanically fine. JWA
