"G" date Mauser S/42 Code P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol with holster. Made 1935, with a "G" marked on the chamber. This is one of about 600 Lugers in the "e" and "f" blocks that were made for police use, with a sear safety added. "S/42" marked on the toggle. "(eagle) / 63" proofs on the right side of the chamber. No import marks found. Matching serials on the visible numbered parts. Round, steel barrel blade front sight and V-notch rear. Factory blued and straw finishes. Checkered wood grips. Right panel is numbered to the gun. Left panel is not numbered. An illegible name and the date "DEC 1951" are written on the inside of the right panel. Includes two aluminum bottom, matching serial numbered magazines, and a black leather police holster. Holster is marked "FRANZ COBAU/BERLIN/1935" on the back. There are two numbers on the back, "1689" and "365" (crossed out). "MCKEEN/11067787" is handwritten on the back as well. Also included is an original takedown tool, with an "(eagle / 63)" Waffenamt. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear. Straw is about 85%. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazines have light wear. Holster has light wear and handling marks. Tight stitching. Tool is fine. JWA
