Manufactured in 1918 by DWM. The receiver is marked "1918" over the chamber area with DWM proofs on the right. Toggle bears the "DWM" monogram, with the right side of barrel being marked with a Polizeischule fur Technik (Police School of Technology) "PT" over eagle proof, indicating the barrel was replaced by the Berlin police. Matching numbers include the frame, locking bolt, trigger, trigger side plate, safety lever, safety bar, receiver, toggles, breechblock, extractor, and firing pin. Barrel is unmarked, with the hold-open latch and magazine appearing to be force matched. Grips are unserialized and are stamped "S/42" on their interiors with a Mauser eagle over "33" waffenamt present on the left grip. Complete with a 1918 dated leather holster manufactured by F.W. Gammersbach, Roisdorf marked "S.B.326" for the Schutzpolizei Berlin on the rear. The serial number "1086" and the name "E. Potratz" are present on the interior of the flap. Complete with one additional force matched magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain generous amounts of their arsenal reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of edge wear along with several areas of thinning that show through to a pleasing patina. Strawed components show wear all around. Mirror bore with well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Checkered walnut grips bear some light smoothing and a few minor chips to the diamonds. Holster shows some scattered wear overall with the flap securing strap and buckle having been replaced in the police holster style. A nice Berlin police marked P.08 rig. -MLW-
