This example is marked with the Mauser banner logo on the toggle and bears Mauser Oberndorf crown over "U" proof stamps on the receiver, barrel, and breechblock. Features include rust blue finish (with smaller components being strawed and nitre blued), a 4" barrel, dovetailed inverted-V front sight, V-notch rear sight, stock lug, and checkered walnut grips. Complete with an unmarked Swiss black leather holster which is accompanied by its shoulder strap. CONDITION: Metal components retain pleasant amounts of their what appears to be an older refinish, exhibiting wear and thinning all around, with several areas of oxidation visible both beneath and above the finish. Strawed components show wear, thinning, and age-related discoloration. Bore is bright, retaining good rifling as well as oxidation in the lands and grooves. Checkered walnut grips exhibit smoothing to the diamond checkering and show a few nicks and indentation. Holster bears a few scattered handling and storage marks, but is otherwise fine. -MLW-
