DWM P.08 Police Luger reworked after World War I in compliance with the Treaty of Versailles. Chamber is marked with a crossed-out "7,65" with the left side of the receiver bearing a crown over "N" nitro proof. Toggle bears the "DWM" monogram. Bottom of barrel bears commercial crowns over "B U G" proof. Front grip strap is police unit marked "S.B.Bn.569.1421", with "569" lined out. Serial numbers are applied in both the military and commercial fashions. Matching numbers include the frame, locking block, trigger, sideplate, safety lever and bar, receiver, trigger bar, barrel, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, and toggles. Barrel serial number is stamped over the barrel's former serial number. Grips are unmarked and magazine does not match. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting small areas of wear all around showing through to grey patina. Bright bore, showing some light oxidation and well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Checkered wood grips show some smoothing and scattered impressions, but are otherwise fine. A nice World War I reworked Weimar era Police P.08. -MLW-
