1934 Commercial Luger manufactured in 1936 by Mauser for commercial sales within and outside of Germany. The receiver is marked "1936" over the chamber, with Mauser Oberndorf crown over "U" proofs present on the left side of the frame, breechblock, and front of the front sight base. Toggle is marked with the Mauser banner logo. Matching numbers include the frame, locking bolt, barrel, receiver, breechblock, and toggles. Checkered walnut grips do not match but match themselves. Trigger was at one point renumbered "28". Blued stainless steel magazine is unmarked. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting several small areas of wear as well as pitting beneath the finish under the grips. Strawed components have been restrawed and retain large amounts of their finish. Bore is bright, exhibiting oxidation and good rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips show some smoothing, as well as some nicks to the diamonds and some scattered impressions. -MLW-
