Standard configuration P.08 manufactured in 1942 by Mauser. Receiver is marked "42" over the chamber with the Mauser banner logo present on the toggle. Left side of frame is stamped "P.08". Interestingly, the receiver does not retain any acceptance or proof marks, nor does it retain the serial number on the left side. Barrel is bare and shows no proofs. Matching numbers include the frame, trigger, sideplate, safety lever and safety bar, and the hold-open latch. Checkered black plastic grips are unmarked. Left grip panel is poorly fit. Complete with one blued steel magazine with black plastic bottom. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their arsenal applied salt blue finish, exhibiting some scattered areas of wear that show through to a light patina. Forward toggle appears to be refinished. Mirror bore, with well defined lands and grooves throughout. Black plastic grips show some light smoothing and a few scattered handling marks. -MLW-
