Model 1934 Commercial Luger manufactured by Mauser in 1940 for commercial sales. Metal components have been reblued and restrawed, appearing to be an old refinish. Receiver is marked "1940" over the chambered, with an eagle over "N" proof present on the left side of the receiver as well as the breechblock. Front sight block bears an upside down eagle over "N" proof. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the right grip and magazine which are unmarked. Some components including the frame and forward toggle link have been renumbered at some point in time. Magazine retains a black plastic bottom. CONDITION: Very good overall, with exterior metal components retaining the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, showing some areas of wear and some areas of thinning that show through to brown patina. Barrel shows heavier wear and some gray spotting that show through to gray patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting some light oxidation and retaining good rifling throughout. Strawed components retain most of their reapplied straw finish, showing some spots of light oxidation. Grips show some smoothing and a few minor impressions, with the left panel bearing a few chips.
