P.08 manufactured by Mauser for commercial sales. Chamber date of "1938" has been partially scrubbed and restamped. Left side of receiver and breechblock bears crown over "U" proofs. Front sight block bears a crown over "U" which has over stamped the former marking. Major metal components have been reblued, with strawed components are being refinished. All numbers are matching with the exception of the trigger bar, and have been restamped to match the frame. Frame serial number and letter suffix appears to have been restamped at one time. Unmarked grips are replacements. Complete with a blued magazine with an unmarked bottom. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few small areas of wear and a couple areas of light pitting and nicks beneath the finish. Strawed components exhibit some wear that shows through to silvering as well as some nicks and handling marks beneath their finish. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, but are otherwise fine. MLW
