Lot consists of: (A) Walther P.38 semi automatic pistol with original matching box. Dated "69" on the frame and "9/69" on the slide with commercial German proofs. Marked "Made in West Germany" on the right side of the frame. Imported by INTERARMS/ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA", which is marked on the slide. Round steel barrel with a front blade and u-notch rear sight. Military style blued finish on the barrel and slide. Factory wood grips. Includes two original factory magazines, cleaning spoon, test target and cardboard box. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with a few scattered handling marks. Excellent grips. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically excellent. Magazines are excellent. Box is fair with heavy wear on the edges. (B) German Mauser production P.38 semi-automatic handgun with holster. "byf/42" marked slide indicating 1942 manufacture at the Mauser plant. Waffenamts on the frame and slide are "eagle/135". Slide, frame and barrel all match. Plastic "bakealite" grips. Blued finish has worn to a nice patina in most areas. Standard round barrel with a blade front sight. Magazine is un-marked, possibly post war. Includes a post war P1 holster dated 1963. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish. Grips are very good with light wear. Bore is lightly frosted with shoot-able rifling. Mechanically fine. Holster is excellent, magazine is very good with light wear. JWA
