Lot consists of: (A) Colt Model 1849 Pocket percussion revolver. Made 1865. Top of the barrel is marked "ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA". Serials on the barrel, frame, and trigger guard all match. Octagon barrel with a bead front sight. Case hardened frame, with an originally blued barrel which has worn to a patina. Patent stampings and stage coach scene on the cylinder have worn away. Brass trigger guard, front and rear straps. Hardwood grips with a varnished finish. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with wear and patina. Grips have a fair amount of wear. Poor bore with light pitting and worn rifling. Nipples look to have been replaced at some time. Mechanically operable. Hammer is tight. Cylinder shows a fair amount of side to side play. (B) Remington Type II Deringer double barrel pistol. Made 1888-1911. Top of the barrel is marked "Remington Arms Co. ILION, N.Y.". Blued finish with a ribbed barrel and formed blade sight. Hard rubber grips with checkering. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with heavy wear and patina. Grips are solid with wear to the checkering. Bore is poor with pitting and worn rifling. Mechanically operable, but should be examined closely as there is a crack in the left side of the barrel hinge. JWA
