(A) 1926 Vintage Winchester Model 53 built using a model 1892 receiver serial number 962970. 22-inch barrel chambered in .25-20 W.C.F. with button magazine and tang mounted Lyman sight. Serrated-steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very good with 80% original blue on barrel blending with a brown patina. Balance of the metal parts are a dove-gray patina. Stocks show moderate to heavy use with bruises, dings, and gouges. Finish has been added. Action works correctly. Bore is bright with sharp lands and grooves. (B) 1928 Vintage Winchester Model 1892 serial number 995939 with 23-inch barrel and chambered in .44-40 W.C.F. Features a full-length magazine tube, standard sights, and rifle style buttplate. CONDITION: Metal parts have faded to a dove-gray patina. Stocks show heavy use with bruises, dents, dings, and gouges. Full-length longitudinal crack in forearm and chip in left of wrist. Stocks have been lightly sanded and finish has been added. Action works correctly. Bore is bright with slight abrasion. -TN-
