Lot consists of: (A) Marlin 1894 lever action rifle. Factory short rifle configuration with saddle ring. Manufactured in 1894. Frame marked "MARLIN SAFETY", tang marked "MODEL/1894" on the top of the tang. Octagon barrel with blade front sight and leaf rear. Blued finish on the frame and barrel. Rear sight contains its original fire blue. Oil finish hardwood stock set with a carbine style butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with light wear and patina. Stock is very good with minor wear and handling marks. Bore is fair with shootable rifling left. Mechanically fine. (B) Marlin Model 1894 lever action rifle. Post 1906 production with standard round steel barrel with front blade sight and rear leaf. Blued finish on the frame and barrel. Hardwood stock with metal c-shaped buttplate. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Oil finished wood stock set is very good with some minor scratches and dents. Bore is lightly frosted with shootable rifling left. Mechanically fine. JWA
