Built in the Pattern 1853 Enfield style this carbine was manufactured with a rifled barrel and Westley Richards patented paper cartridge system operated by a lever called a "Monkey Tail". Westley Richards marked percussion lock dated 1861. Walnut stock with iron hardware. Comes with nipple protector and chain, slide bar and non-original cleaning rod. CONDITION: Overall good with usage marks and dings. Slide bar missing ring. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
