Sometimes referred to as a "Punt Gun" these large bore shotguns were made for market waterfowl hunters in the late 1800's. Percussion lock is marked "J. Donn Bros Canton, Ills". James Donn worked from 1859 to 1886 in Canton, Illinois. Fine Twist steel half round half octagon barrel with bead front sight. Walnut wood stock with iron hardware and brass nosepiece. Single trigger. Hardwood ramrod with brass ends. CONDITION: Overall good with aged patina. No visible restoration or repairs. Dark bore with good mechanics. DLM
