Evans 34 shot Repeating rifle made in Mechanic Falls, Maine between 1873 and 1879 with approximately 12,000 made. Case hardened "New Model" style lever action rifle with blued round barrel marked "Evan's Repeating Rifle Mechanics Falls, ME Patd Dec 8 1868 & Sept 16 1871.". Adjustable rear sight with blade front sight. Walnut stock with checkered forearm. Scarce variation with 22" barrel and and checkered wood. CONDITION: Metal turning a silvery patina with action worn silver also. Wood retains 60% original finish with handling marks. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
