Spencer Model 1865 repeating carbine made by Spencer Repeating Rifle Company, Boston, Mass. Round blued barrel with six groove rifling, rear adjustable sight and blade front. Casehardened action and lever. Ring bar for saddle ring has been removed. Walnut stock with illegible cartouches, sling swivel and banded walnut forearm. CONDITION: Metal has faded to a silvery patina with traces of blue and case colors. Wood has added old coat of finish with crack in butt. Great mechanics and shootable bore. DLM
