Made by Massachusetts Arms Company in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, under Edward Maynard patents with about 20,000 made. Used by Union Cavalry units. Blued octagon to round barrel with rear flip sight and blade front. Case hardened percussion action with single trigger and saddle ring bar. Plain walnut stock with iron buttplate. CONDITION: Gun has been reblued with stock cleaned with light handling marks. Poor bore with good mechanics. DLM
