Manufactured in 1882. Factory letter indicates this gun as originally having a nickel finish. Gun shipped in August of 1882 to "Schoverling, Daly and Gales" of New York, New York. Serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and butt all match. Trigger looks to be a replacement or was refinished at some time. Grips are aftermarket fake ivory. CONDITION: Overall fair. Metal retains little of its original finish with wear and patina in most areas. Grips are missing a chunk out of the left side, and contain numerous dings and scratches. Bore is dark with poor rifling. Hammer and cylinder show a fair amount of wobble. Mechanically fine. JA
