Desirable 1925 vintage Winchester Model 53 takedown lever action rifle serial number 3522. 22" round barrel chambered in .32 WCF (.32-20) with 2/3 magazine tube, elevation adjustable leaf rear sight and ramped Winchester Express front sight. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm with rifle forearm cap and serrated steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent to excellent plus with almost all of the original bluing remaining. Areas of slight finish loss on barrel and forearm cap and light freckling and high edge wear to receiver assembly. Stock and forearm are excellent with modest wear from use with the exception of a deep scratch about 4" from bottom tang. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Thick grease in action causing some roughness. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. Overall a wonderful and desirable example. -TN-
