(A) 1898 vintage Winchester Model 1894 Eastern Carbine serial number 123777. 20" late round barrel with "Postal Proofmark" near receiver (no proofmark on receiver), standard elevation-adjustable rear sight, ramped front sight, and full-length magazine tube. Chambered in .25-35 Winchester Center Fire. Gumwood forearm and plain walnut stock complete with hard rubber shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Good to very good with barrel retaining most of its original blue. Some handling marks and pitting at left of magazine tube. This gun uses the original barrel band which has been moved to behind front sight ramp (the magazine tube still retains its provision for front barrel band screw). Balance of metal parts have turned to a mottled dove gray patina with storage and handling marks. Stock and forearm are in very good condition and remain solid with dents and dings from handling. Action works correctly. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. (B) Winchester Model 1894 Eastern Carbine made sometime between 1943-1948 (no serial number data is available for this range) serial number 1483039. 20" round barrel chambered in .32 Winchester Special with standard rear sight, hooded ramped front, full length magazine tube, and flat front barrel band. Plain, walnut stock and forearm complete with checkered steel flat carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Very good with metal parts retaining virtually all of their original blue. Some finish loss at high edges and light freckling covering blued components. Stocks are solid with repaired crack at left and in front of rear barrel band and dents, dings, and scratches throughout from use and handling. Action works correctly. Bore is bright and shiny with crisp rifling. -TN-
