Manufactured in 1944 by Izhevsk. Receiver is marked with the Soviet Union hammer & sickle over "1944r" followed by the serial number, and the Izhevsk arsenal stamp. Matching numbers include the receiver and barrel. PU scope is marked with the Soviet Union hammer and sickle over "91/30/ No R-71215". Scope mount has been reblued. Stock shows several areas of repairs. Complete with canvas web sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their arsenal applied blue finish, showing a gray patina all around. Markings are worn and soft. Scope shows cleaned areas of light pitting all around. Bore is pitted, but retains good rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered dings and handling marks, as well as several areas with repairs, but retains the vast majority of it's reapplied varnish. MLW
