Lot consists of a Mauser Chilean Model 1935 Chilean Contract rifle and a Fazakerley No. 4 MK I bolt action rifle. (A) Manufactured by Mauser under contract for Chile. SAMCO import stamp on right side of barrel by bayonet lug. Receiver is marked "Chile" over the Chilean crossed rifles crest with "ORDEN Y PATRIA/ MODELO 1935" over the chamber. Matching numbers include the receiver, bolt, safety, trigger guard, floorplate, and barrel bands. Right side of the receiver is marked with crown over B, U, G, and N pre-war commercial proofs. Buttstock is marked with the Chilean coat of arms over "1935", followed by a "CAE" stamp on the left side. Complete with leather sling and cleaning rod. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their arsenal applied blue finish, with the barrel and forward barrel band exhibiting substantial wear to the finish towards the muzzle. Good bore with light corrosion and some areas of pitting, but retaining good rifling throughout. Stock shows numerous dings and handling marks beneath varnish. (B) No. 4 MK I rifle manufactured by Fazakerley. Left side of receiver is import stamped, but is indiscernible. Left side of receiver is stamped "No4 MKI F(FTR)/ AG3992" and dated 1943 above the trigger guard. Matching numbers include the receiver, bolt, magazine, and stock. Brass buttplate does not retain cleaning kit. Complete with canvas web sling and No. 9 MK I blade bayonet. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal reapplied finish, showing some scattered wear from use. Bore is bright and retains strong rifling throughout.
