SST. Wow! What an outstanding and incredible piece of early advertising for Ford. Sign shows outstanding Ford script with Smalts painted blue background, as well as its original wooden frame and backing. Sign shows a privilege panel for Bearse Motor Sales Corp. in Chatham, Massachusetts. Sign appears to be New Old Stock, showing only minimal age wear in areas of the paint, as well as minimal wear to its original wooden frame. The Smalts painted areas are extremely clean showing only minor wear, and the Smalts paint is tight an not flaking at all. The black painted areas show an excellent age crackle to the paint, and the piece displays outstanding. Sign still shows areas of storage dust, and if desired will clean up even nicer than presented. Sign shows three very small nail holes in the field which are tough to spot if you are not looking at the piece closely, and written in chalk on the backside, the piece shows, "From New Well Sign Co., Chicago". A very rare, all original and untouched piece of early Ford advertising in tough to improve upon condition.
