Meriden Firearms Grade 58 side by side shotgun. Case hardened engraved frame marked "58" and "C30" for Grade 58 and chain Damascus barrels 30". Matted rib with extractors and bead front sight and double triggers. Highly engraved frame with sitting birds in a circle and scroll work border. Most engraving for Meriden was done by William Gough who also engraved for Parker Brothers. Highly figured walnut checkered pistol grip stock with period pad. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 60% visible Damascus pattern with blemishes near chambers and bores. 30% fading case colors. 50% high gloss varnish with wear on handled areas. Good bores and mechanics. Hard high grade Meriden double in respectable condition. DLM
