Lot consists of: A) Meriden Firearms made double barrel side by side shotgun marked "55" on frame for Grade 55. Frame marked "C30" for 30" chain Damascus barrels with matted rib and bead front sight. Case hardened frame with flying bird engraving and floral pattern on end of barrels. Engraving was most likely done by William Gough who also engraved for Parker. Feather crotch walnut checkered pistol grip stock with horn buttplate and splinter forearm. Double triggers and extractors and automatic safety. CONDITION: A) 70% chain pattern with good bores and some small blemishes. 10% fading case with sharp engraving. 70% original varnish with handling dings and flaking. Repaired cracked forearm. Good mechanics. B) Meriden Grade "56" with Krupp steel barrels. Case hardened engraved frame marked "K28" and "56" for Krupp 28" and Grade 56. Engraved by William Gough with flying birds and scroll work. Extractors, double triggers and automatic safety. Checkered pistol grip stock with latch release forearm. CONDITION: B) Blued barrels fading to a silvery patina with good bores. Action worn silver. 70% varnish with light handling marks. Good mechanics. DLM
