Designed by Ezekiel Baker circa 1800 and known as the Pattern 1800 rifle, these guns were used throughout Britain's Empire until the mid-19th century. Large caliber rifled in the white finished barrel with rear notch sight and fixed front. Large saber blade bayonet stud near end of barrel. Gun has been converted from flint to percussion with a "Tower" marked lock dated 1864. Hardwood stock with brass furniture including a large brass patchbox. Large iron sling swivels with original steel ramrod. Stock has some illegible marks in front of patchbox. CONDITION: Overall good with heavy usage marks and dings consistent with use in combat. Metal still has in the white appearance with some spotting. Dark but shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
