As documented by accompanying Cody Firearms Records, this scarce Winchester Model 1894 carbine was built on July 15, 1904 with the following special order features: Type: Carbine, Caliber:.32 WS, Checkered stock with pistol grip, Sights: Lyman rear sight, 1/2 length magazine tube, Shotgun butt with hard rubber buttplate. Shipped from the warehouse on August 08, 1904 to order number 238840. Repaired and return on December 22, 1917 on order number 89851. The repair performed in 1917 explains the offset Winchester proof currently found on the breech of the barrel and on the receiver. CONDITION: Excellent with 90-95% original blue on the barrel Receiver retains 80-85% original blue with most wear on the belly and top tang. Wood is excellent showing modest wear. Bore is bright.
