Scarce 1906 vintage Model 1886 with special ordered take-down frame, 22" tapered round barrel with full length magazine tube. Chambered in .45-70. Standard rear, and special ordered Lyman blade with ivory bead front sights. Special ordered sling eyes. Pistol grip, straight grain walnut stock and forearm, with black composite shotgun style buttplate. No checkering. CONDITION: Excellent with 96-97% original blue on barrel, magazine tube, and takedown lug. 75-80% original bright blue on receiver. Bore is bright. Action is tight and crisp. Overall an attractive and very scarce Model 1886 in a most desirable caliber. From the Carl Balderson Jr. Estate Collection. -MKS-
