Half moon front sight, round top U notch beveled rear sight. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent information; February 1911 last date. Rampant Colt at rear of slide. Right side of slide with "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. NAVY". "H" stamped at top of firing pin retaining channel. Barrel with "HS" on right side of lug, "P" on left side. Early relieved slide release. "H" on "T" on top of frame. Left side of dust cover with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and WGP inspection proof for Penfield. Checkered magazine release, safety, and hammer with spur. Short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Truncated diamond walnut grips. 2 tone magazine with lanyard loop. Accompanied by a Colt factory letter confirming shipment to the New York Brooklyn Naval Yard on July 25th, 1913. CONDITION: Very good as restored, with a later blued finish applied over a few minor nicks and bruises. White infill on legends to enhance visibility. Barrel has been polished. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with strong rifling. EW
