Blue finish. Half moon front sight, beveled U notch rear sight. Left side of slide with two line two block patent and Colt information, rear with pony, crossed flags over pony. Right side with "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 455". Barrel with "(Crown) / F2 / E" on left side of lug, "(Crown) / GR / (Crossed Flags) / P" on right side of lug. Frame with "E" on top of bridle. Left side of frame with broad arrow and crossed flags in front of slide stop hole, trigger guard with "(Crown) / U6 / F" (?, difficult to read), Colt VP proof, and "W" and "X". Right side frame with "GOVERNMENT MODEL / W91879". Checkered magazine release, left side only safety, spurred checkered hammer, short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and truncated diamond grips. Two tone magazine with broad arrow and "CAL 455 / ELEY", intercepted by lanyard loop. Accompanied by 3 loose rounds of .455 and a skin of .455 marked on front "CARTRIDGES / S.A. BALL / PISTOL / SELF LOADER / WEBLEY & / SCOTT / .455 INCH / 30 | 1 | 19 / E Mark I / (Broad Arrow) / (ISAA)", and ink stamped "NOT FOR REVOLVERS". CONDITION: Very good, retaining the majority of the high polish blue finish with some wear to high edges and scattered marks from use. Some silvering towards muzzle and along left side of slide. Markings legible. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with strong rifling. 3 loose rounds are good with some age related darkening, skin is very good, crisp legibility, with one opening at top where nose of one round can be seen.
