Pre War German Mauser 1936 date S/42 code Luger semi automatic pistol. Made 1936 at the Mauser factory. "1936" marked chamber, "S/42" marked toggle. "(eagle)/63" proofs throughout. No import mark found. Matching serials throughout, including both wood grip panels. Aluminum bottom magazine does not match. Standard round barrel with blade front sight and v-notch rear. Original blued finish, with some minor areas of touch up throughout. Straw blue was touched up as well. Original checkered wood grips. Nickel finished tin magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original blued finish with wear, and a few freckles of surface rust. Grips have minor dents and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted with crisp rifling. Mechiaclally fine. Magazine has light wear. Great range Luger! JWA
